Review

This sharp comedy revolves around a very simple subject: having children in Italy today. Or rather, having a second child, to be more specific. Sara (Paola Cortellesi) and Nicola (Valerio Mastandrea) are a happy couple. She’s a restaurant health inspector, he runs a fishmonger’s; they pay their bills and they have a quiet six-year-old daughter whom they bring along to dinners with friends. The balance in their lives is disrupted, however, by the arrival of their second child. In this case, “1 plus 1 doesn’t make 2, it makes 11.” Their love, of course, multiplies, but so does their fatigue. Sleepless nights, crying around the clock, selfish grandparents and unlikely babysitters all combine to transform the couple’s life into a living hell, while commitments relating to their firstborn become increasingly pressing. Tragicomic scenarios ensue.

In Italian with English subtitles. Accessible only in USA.

ALL SALES ARE FINAL

You can purchase a ticket for this screening until 12:00 PM (PT) of July 23rd, if tickets are still available. You will not be able to activate the unique code on the website provided before the time and day of the screening. The link will be available for 30 hours, from July 23rd at 6:00 PM (PT) until midnight of July 24th. Also, if you activate the link and you forget about it or you fall asleep, just as if you're in a regular movie theatre, you will lose the opportunity to watch the movie! If you need to take a break, make sure to hit pause—you will have time to resume as long as you do it within the 30-hour timeframe.

FAQs:

Q. I bought a ticket and never received the link to view the film?
A. Both the link to view the movie and your unique code will be sent to you at 1:00 PM (PT) on the day of the screening. If you do not receive an email please email us at contact@sdiff.net so we can resend you the email (also make sure to check your spam and/or promotion folders).

Q. When does the link expire to view the film?
A. You have from July 23rd at 6:00 PM (PT) to midnight on July 24th to view the film.

Q. I received the film link but the film won’t play on my computer?
A. First, try an alternative browser. If that still doesn’t work, then you can email us at contact@sdiff.net to troubleshoot any issues. We will try to be available to you even after business hours during this time.

Q. How do I screen the film on my TV from my computer?
A. Most platforms have a way to stream from computer to TV through your Firestick or Apple TV. There should be a computer icon on your TV system that can help guide you through that process. Another way to connect your computer to TV is through an HDMI cord that runs physically from one into the other. Make sure to be on the correct input or source when connecting to your HDMI cable.
