KPBS Celebrates 20 Years of the San Diego Italian Film Festival

In the feature, arts and culture reporter Beth Accomando looks back at the spirit that has shaped SDIFF over the past two decades and ahead to this year’s feStivale, centered on the theme of LEGACY.
Artistic Director Antonio Iannotta reflects on founder Victor Laruccia’s vision of the festival as a piazza: a place where people come together not only to experience Italian cinema, but also to share conversation, food, ideas, and community.
The story also highlights this year’s films, Ristretto Shorts Night, special partnerships, and the conversations that continue to make feStivale a unique part of San Diego’s cultural community.
