Our Staff
Diana Agostini began her work in the non-profit education sector long before moving to San Diego in 2012. Her background in International Cooperation had her travel the world working on national and international projects for NGOs and smaller non-profits. In 2013 Diana joined SDIFF, where she combines her passion for cultural studies to the one for the arts, trying to find creative ways to promote critical thinking and inclusion. When not working on all things SDIFF, you can find her recruiting MBA students for the University of San Diego or running on trails. Diana holds an Executive Master in Management from SDA Bocconi School of Management, a Master's in International Development, and a Bachelor's in Linguistic and Cultural Mediation.
Antonio Iannotta received his PhD (Dottorato di ricerca) in Communication and Media Studies from University of Salerno (Italy). He has published essays on cinema, TV series, comics, theory of media, and two books: a monograph about Samuel Beckett (Lo sguardo sottratto - Samuel Beckett e i media) and a study about Sound and Image in the Film Experience (Il cinema audiotattile - Suono e immagine nell'esperienza filmica). He worked as Communications Director for a number of International Festivals in Italy. In San Diego, he has taught Italian Cinema at UCSD and SDSU. He is Adjunct Associate Professor of Italian at University of the San Diego.
Sanjil Kumar obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Fashion Marketing & Management from The Art Institute of California - San Francisco. Prior to his employment at the San Diego Italian Film Festival, he honed his expertise in digital design and marketing by working with diverse companies across multiple industries. As the Business Systems Manager, he is responsible for monitoring the organization's technical solutions to support business operations and minimize the complexities of operational processes.
A longtime patron and lover of the arts, Brooke Welling received a Bachelor’s degree in Italian and the History of Art from The Ohio State University, and a Master’s degree in Italian from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She has studied abroad in Siena, Italy, and has taught English to children in Milan and the region of Brescia. Brooke joined SDIFF in 2019, focusing on membership and audience services and partnership outreach and development. Outside of SDIFF, she works in the tech industry, supporting teams, clients, and users working with platforms.
